ICE DOGS Movie Trailer (Official)
Otto Sverdrup described the Greenland dog as having the persistence and tenacity of a wild animal and, at the same time, the domestic dog's admirable devotion to its master. He’s also quoted as saying: ‘The wildest breath of nature and the warmest breath of civilisation.’
The more time we spend in the Arctic, the more apparent it is that man in his primitive form should not be here. We can't migrate from Arctic winters fast enough, nor can we hibernate for long enough to get through the winter months. And, while food sources are present, they're inaccessible. Conditions are too extreme for either man or dog alone to be native to the Arctic, but together they can flourish.
