BRANDBERG
The Brandberg is Namibia's highest mountain located in Damaraland, the north-western part of the Namib Desert. The Brandberg covers a surface area of approximately 650km², with its highest point, the Königstein, reaching 2 606m above sea level. On a bright day, the Brandberg can be seen from a great distance. . The Brandberg is a spiritual place of great importance for the San (Bushman) tribes. The most important tourist attraction is the White Lady rock painting. She, amongst other San artworks, is located in the Tsisab ravine at the foot of the mountain on a rock face under a small rock overhang.
